ROKY Holdings recently completed the supply and installation of a fully automated water softener system in Badulla. The client was a leading factory seeking to improve water quality and operational efficiency. The project aimed to address water hardness issues that interfered with equipment performance.
Located in a region where water hardness affects industrial operations, this solution became essential for sustainable factory processes. Hard water contains minerals that cause scale buildup and corrosion in sensitive factory machinery. This increases maintenance frequency and shortens equipment lifespan. The factory’s chillers and other key systems required consistently soft water to operate at full efficiency.
Before the installation, the water tested at 192 PPM of hardness—well above safe levels. ROKY’s system reduced this to below detectable levels, preventing future equipment damage. As a result, production lines now run more efficiently with less energy loss and fewer interruptions. Additionally, the fully automated nature of the system cuts down on manual labor and operating errors.
The project was completed within schedule and resulted in a fully automated, low-maintenance water softener system. It now ensures high-quality water for critical factory systems. Operational disruptions have decreased, while productivity and equipment reliability have improved.
