The TULSION® T-42 Na water softener is a high-performance solution designed to efficiently treat hard water. It operates at a maximum temperature of 140°C (280°F) in its sodium (Na⁺) form. This capability makes it suitable for various industrial and commercial applications. Additionally, the softener features a resin bed depth of at least 600 mm (24”), ensuring consistent ion exchange capacity and reliable water softening.
This water softener supports a maximum service flow rate of 120 m³/hr/m³ (15 gpm/ft³). Such capacity enables it to handle large water volumes efficiently. The backwash expansion space ranges from 40 to 75%, allowing effective resin cleaning. For 40–70% expansion, the recommended backwash flow rate lies between 9 to 25 m³/hr/m² (4 to 10 gpm/ft²). Moreover, it uses sodium chloride (NaCl) as the regenerant in the Na⁺ form. The regeneration level ranges from 60 to 160 g NaCl/l (3.7 to 1.0 lbs HCl/ft³), while the regenerant concentration varies between 5.0% and 15.0% NaCl. Finally, the regenerant flow rate is adjustable from 2 to 16 m³/hr/m³ (0.25 to 2 gpm/ft³), optimizing resin regeneration.
Regeneration lasts from 20 to 60 minutes, depending on water hardness and system requirements. The rinse flow rate varies: slow rinsing uses the regeneration flow rate, while fast rinsing matches the service flow rate. The rinse volume ranges between 3 to 5 m³/m³ (25 to 40 gal/ft³), which ensures thorough cleaning of the resin bed. Consequently, the resin maintains optimal performance and longevity. This regeneration process helps maintain reliable and efficient water softening over time.
