To mark World Water Day 2025, ROKY Holdings Pvt. Ltd. donated a water treatment system in Heewalkandura Vidyalaya as a part of their CSR initiative. The project involved installing a customized water purification system at Ranchamadama Vidyalaya, a rural school with limited clean water access. Over 450 students and 25 teachers benefited from this sustainable solution. This project was launched under the theme “Thibahak Gana Bahaka” (A Conversation About Thirst). ROKY Holdings partnered with the Lions Club of Embilipitiya to bring the plan to life. The goal was simple—supply safe drinking water where it was needed most, while honoring the global spirit of World Water Day. The initiative aligned with the company’s mission to improve public health and rural education through targeted community development.
Ranchamadama Vidyalaya faces extreme heat during the dry months of April to June. These conditions made daily access to clean water not just important—but critical. Until now, students and teachers spent hours in school without a safe or reliable water source. Many suffered from dehydration and recurring waterborne illnesses. Recognizing this urgent need, ROKY Holdings delivered a low-maintenance, high-efficiency purification system designed for the school’s environment. The system now ensures daily hydration and reduces health risks. With basic needs met, students can learn better, and teachers can teach with peace of mind. The installation strengthened both educational outcomes and community resilience.
As part of its World Water Day efforts, ROKY Holdings installed a sustainable purification system at Ranchamadama Vidyalaya. The project was completed quickly, and its impact was immediate. Over 475 individuals now receive safe drinking water every school day. This initiative reflects ROKY Holdings’ commitment to lasting, community-led progress. By responding to real needs through strong partnerships, the company sets a clear example of responsible corporate leadership. As CEO Mr. Kasun Rathnayake shared,
“Clean water is a necessity, not a privilege.”
Through each project, the team works to turn that belief into reality—one community at a time.
