Water Purification CSR Project for World Water Day

Purpose of the Initiative

At ROKY Holdings, we believe that access to clean and safe water is a basic human necessity. As a company committed to sustainable development and community well-being, we continuously seek opportunities to create a positive impact on society.

Therefore, we launched this Water Purification CSR Project to improve the quality of life for students and staff at Pelmadulla No. 2 Tamil School by providing reliable access to safe drinking water and enhanced water facilities.

This Water Purification CSR Project directly supports our goal of ensuring better health, improved hygiene, and a more comfortable learning environment for the school community.

Through this initiative, we aim to support healthier learning environments, encourage better hygiene practices, and strengthen the overall well-being of the school community. Furthermore, by addressing a critical need, we hope to deliver long-term benefits that will positively influence future generations.

Celebrating World Water Day and ROKY Holdings’ 3rd Anniversary

This meaningful Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project was organized in celebration of two significant milestones: World Water Day and the 3rd Anniversary of Roky Holdings.

World Water Day serves as a global reminder of the importance of protecting water resources and ensuring access to clean water for all. As a company operating in the water treatment and wastewater management industry, ROKY Holdings recognizes the importance of contributing towards sustainable water solutions that benefit communities.

At the same time, our 3rd anniversary provided an opportunity to celebrate our growth and achievements by giving back to society. Rather than focusing solely on business success, we chose to mark this milestone through a project that creates a meaningful and lasting impact. This initiative reflects our core values of responsibility, sustainability, and community service.

About the CSR Project

ROKY Holdings proudly partnered with the Lions Club of Colombo Centennial and Deep Tech to implement a Water Purification and Water Supply Improvement Project at Pelmadulla No. 2 Tamil School. Roky Holdings designed this Water Purification and Water Supply Improvement Project to address the long-standing challenge of safe drinking water access at the school.

For many years, the school faced significant challenges due to the lack of safe drinking water and adequate water supply facilities. Students and staff experienced difficulties accessing clean water for daily consumption and other essential activities, affecting both health and comfort within the school environment.

Recognizing this urgent need, the project was designed to provide a sustainable solution through the installation of a water purification system and improvements to the school’s water supply infrastructure. The upgraded facilities now ensure that students and teachers have access to clean, safe, and reliable water throughout the school day.

This project goes beyond infrastructure development. It represents our commitment to improving health, promoting dignity, and creating a better educational environment for children. We are grateful for the opportunity to support the school community and contribute to a healthier and brighter future.

Through initiatives such as this, ROKY Holdings remains dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the communities we serve while continuing our mission of delivering sustainable water solutions across Sri Lanka.
